Summit is a short orchestral piece imbued with a spirit of adventure. Emerging from the opening four-note motif, the music swiftly grows and moves through several different moods, energetic and broad by turns. At its close, we hear the motif's return layered over other themes, rushing up the final ascent to the peak.
